Beyond High End HDTVs

Well as I promised (to myself) here comes TVs that make people have think that they are not only looking out a window, but a window that has been polished for many years.

For a TV to be in this fashion it has to be 1080p standard, and it has to upscale all inputs to this resolution (Other wise it would be useless till 1080p was a standard output setting) Keep in mind that the only device with plans of 1080p right now is the PlayStation 3, and then only threw HDMI connection. 1080i and 1080p are going to look really close to each other, so close that it won't really be a difference. But if you where to compare 1080i TV to a 1080p and a difference can be seen during any action scene because the screen can't update Horizontal (H) and Vertical (V) lines at the same time, a serious disadvantage when gaming. I'll assume that you understand the differences between HDTV and the disadvantage of them so there won't be any attacks on that. And with that said, lets begin the models that have been selected to be a dream TV

Samsung - HL-R##78W and HL-R##88W (## is the size in inches)
This has been what I really want. These are DLP TVs, and are extremely good at display color's and getting the picture to look exactly like its supposed to. The side effect of these TVs are heat and noise and lack of the color "Black." All this has to do with the way DLP works, a lot like a projector and then is past threw to a another screen which makes it more vivid. With the model being pumped up this year to 1080p and getting a few upgrades from last year, there are blacks which are almost impossible to tell the difference from blacks created by other display devices.

There are two different types of these 1080p HDTVs, the 78 means that it needs something to sit on, and the 88 comes with an attached (unremovable?) pedestal that cost more, but reduces the need to buy a stand. Unless you are in to very modern designs, you are going to with the 78 model, and be very happy.

The street price for the lowest model (HL-R5078W) $3000 - MSRB (3,500) - extremely overpriced. Generally if you find the TV at MSRB price, you can get it the table with it. All of these TVs no matter the size use 230Watts of power, according to their manuals, so its not going to kill you electic bill. Also if you think this number is high, concider the fact that xbox360 also using about 230 watts of power. Its really not a high number for such a high-end device.

Well, I have one more TV to talk about, but I am a bit tired, so tomorrow the Sony TV, and sound systems.

Take Care,

Time to reactivate me giving away my information

Hello, I guess I shall return to giving away , my information without any concern of who sees what I do in my personal life............ So, on that note, I am getting the xbox 360 on launch day. And I will be camping outside of a best buy from Monday after school to Tuesday morning (9:00AM more specifically!) As you can imagine that's a very long wait..... Very very long wait, waiting for a store to open......

And speaking of long wait, it seems that 5 days or how ever much time is left to launch is a very very long time, so how do I plan to pass that time (besides doing absolutely nothing, and sleeping)? I know, I'll post the way to create a system that will blow you away, yet only the extremely rich can afford... Seems a little tacky seeing that many others are creating buyers guides, but they have seem to left out the high grade long lasting, and most reliable. You know, something that you buy now for 10 years, not something that will suffer a burn-in in less then a year. To me this is the kind of stuff that I get really really sad that I can't have it. And now the zero readers of this site will suffer the same fate as me.....

So Tomorrow will be TV(s) that are the well beyond the standards of even Enterprise media.

Until then, take care!
